The Connecticut Bar Association’s Women In The Law Section, in association with the Young Lawyers Section, will hold its annual Pathways to Leadership Dinner on March 24, 2016 6pm-9pm at the Grassy Hill Country Club in Orange, Connecticut. Here is the link to register:https://www.ctbar.org/events/EventDetails.aspx?id=756601&group=
This year we are proud to present, as our keynote speaker, Catherine Bailey, Legal and Public Policy Director of Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund. The dinner will also present the 2016 Ladder Award, which honors a female attorney in Connecticut who has demonstrated exceptional leadership affecting women, to Tanya Bovee, Office Managing Principal at Jackson | Lewis P.C.
This annual dinner celebrates the advances made by Connecticut law firms in the promotion of gender equality within their ranks and within the legal community as a whole. Eleven firms and legal employers have already pledged their commitment to the CBA’s BEST PRACTICES FOR GENDER EQUITY (see https://www.ctbar.org/members/group_content_view.asp?group=134576&id=377321).
The purpose of the Women In The Law Section is: to monitor the progress and enhance the status and opportunities available to women in the legal profession; to provide women attorneys in Connecticut with an opportunity to share concerns, communicate, and network with one another in a supportive forum; and to promote the participation of the Bar Association in substantive areas of law and legislation that present issues of particular concern to women in the profession, and to those who seek legal services. The Young Lawyers Section’s primary goals are: the promotion of justice; the encouragement of public service; and the promotion of diversity and education of young lawyers and newly admitted practitioners.
We hope you and your guest(s) will be able to join us on March 24th for a joyous and educational evening!
Very truly yours,
Carmina K. Tessitore, Chair of the CBA Women In The Law Section
